So you have decided that you want a fantastic new Foosball Table, and your budget has been set at around the $500 level, what now?
You want the best bang for your buck, but what should you start looking for. After all, that amount of cash should get you a top table – right? Well, if you follow this advice, we are sure that you will not be disappointed with the table you choose!
The first thing you need to decide is your budget; you have already done that – $500, so that’s the first thing ticked off! A lot of experts think that a table around this price is a good starter, if you are serious about your game. You will learn new techniques and practice the moves that you learn. For the money, also be able to get a lovely-looking table that is going to set off any room!
If you are looking for something cheaper, with more games, you can also consider a foosball table 4 in 1
A Foosball Table that costs almost $500 should be a quality table, but will miss some features of a Professional Table.
These are priced at about $1000 – $2000. So what should you look for?
For this price, you should expect solid wood, or quality composite – particle board, is usually not as sturdy and will not last as long.
Solid wood is best if you have kids climbing on it, as can take more weight. However, this adds to the price. Both Solid Wood and composite should last you for years, and this should be reflected in the guarantee!
This one is fairly obvious – if a table is well constructed, and you are spending a lot of your hard earned money on it, then you should get a good length guarantee with it.
Some manufacturers offer lifetime guarantees with their higher end models, and you may be lucky and find some at this price with a lifetime guarantee. Always check this before deciding.
Of the tables available for $500 you should get a full table (includes the top and legs).
A multi-game table or a tabletop should not be something you consider when thinking about spending this type of money. However, if that is what you are looking for, we will still make some recommendations.

This table is a mid-range table, this means that you should get an excellent table which is far superior to the low-end tables, able to play some brilliant games and improve your skills
They will probably not be a lot different from the high-end tables but may miss some minor features, for example, it may not have counter-balanced men, or the build quality may not be as sturdy

The DMI Aurora Table has a cherry wood laminate body, with black legs. The playing surface is the standard green in color, the men are red on one side and white on the other.
This is a full sized table with approximate dimensions of 55L x 29W x 34H inches with a weight of about 135 pounds. This mass means that it does not easily move around when you are having a hard game of foosball, giving it a professional feel.
The same mass and size of the table also mean that you are going to ideally have a dedicated space for this table, as it would challenge to put it in and out of storage whenever you want to play.
The table is of the standard 3 goalie layout, with each player having 4 rod, with the arrangement of 3 goalies, 2 men on the defensive rod, 5 players on the midfield rod, and finally 3 players on the attacking rod.
Each player also has an abacus style scoreboard, a ball return for when a goal is scored, and cup holders for any drinks.

The Dynasty 54 Inch Foosball table is a full-size table, which has a cherry laminate body color, with black legs.
The players are black and dark grey, with the playing surface being charcoal grey. This full-sized table has a size of approximately 54” L x 27” W x 34” H, and a weight of about 125 pounds.
This size and weight mean that the table will ideally require its own dedicated space, for playing in and keeping the table on when not in use. The size and weight means it is impracticable to keep moving it in and out of storage all the time.
The size and weight of the table, of course, means that it is very stable and will not slide all over the place when you are playing. The table uses the standard three-goalie system. Each player has 4 rods which are arranged in the following configuration: 3 goalies, 2 men on the defending rod, then 5 men on the midfield bar, and then 3 men on the attacking bar.
The table, of course, comes with abacus style scoreboards and ball returns for each player
As foosball is played by a wide range of people, qualifying a foosball table as best or not will really depend on the target players.
The best foosball table for kids, who are just still being introduced to foosball, will definitely not be the same for an advanced player.
Some of the best foosball tables according to the player's preference or level of play are;
Yes, they are! Kick foosball tables are very well designed tables that are suitable for nearly all game rooms.
They are built with Medium Density Fiberboard (MDF) material and have a 0.5 inch thick laminate playing field. This makes the tables smooth, fast and free of dead spots.
Another advantage of the Kick foosball table is that its leg levelers comprise rubber bottoms, which keeps it stationary when playing.
One last but the best trait of this table is their counter-balanced foosmen. This simply means that the foosmen stay stationary even when released horizontally, and this makes it easy to score during a game.
A used foosball table may range from $5 to about $50 for the mini foosball tables top or desktop foosball tables, and from about $70 to $1000 for the vintage sport craft foosball tables or a table with 4 legs and 26 players impaled on 8 metal rods.
Buyers should note that buying a foosball table from a garage sale or an estate sale may be cheaper than buying it from a website or store.
Most tables nowadays use the three goalie setup. The following table is our recommendation for a table this the price range that only has one goalie
Standard Foosball Tables are not water resistant, and should not be taken outside.
The following tables has been designed to be used outside, and will not deteriorate when exposed to the elements. It may be worth spending slightly more on an outdoor table

You will really be looking at a less than ideal table, but it should cost a lot less than $500

We do not recommend these tables when considering spending this kind of money, if Foosball is your favorite game, and you want to play like a pro. These can be good fun tables however and it should cost a lot less than $500
This is another factor that is going to have a significant influence on the table that you buy.
If it is going into a room with limited space, you need to ensure that it is going to fit, and that there is plenty of room for the players to get around the table comfortably.
The width of the table will need approximately an extra 4-6 feet (2-3 feet on each side) for the players to stand, and even this may seem a little cramped. It is better for you to decide, but getting two people into your “space,” having them stand as if playing foosball, a little away from the walls, etc.
Then measure the space between them. While this may seem like going a little too far, you are spending $500; you want to make sure the table will fit!
